Loyalty Program Break-Even Calculator
A stamp card is a discount you pay on every member visit, not only on the extra visits it creates. This calculator shows what that discount really costs you and the visit increase you need before a loyalty program pays for itself. Every number comes from what you type in.

How the calculation works
- Reward cost per visit = your cost of one reward ÷ stamps needed × redemption rate.
- The reward cost is charged on every member visit, including visits that would have happened anyway. That is why programs with generous rewards can lose money.
- Extra gross profit = extra visits × average spend × gross margin.
- Break-even increase = (reward cost on today's visits + software cost) ÷ (gross profit per visit − reward cost per visit), as a share of today's visits.
- The calculator does not predict how much your visits will grow. Loyalty results vary by business, so the visit increase is your own assumption.

Measure the real number instead of guessing it
Loyaltey records every stamp and redemption, so after a few weeks you can replace the assumed visit increase with your own visit frequency data. The Starter plan is free for up to 100 customers.
